COPFCU 2027 Scholarship Program

This scholarship application portal has been created to allow you to submit your scholarship application and required items online.

For your reference, we have provided the link below to the application package. Refer to this document to ensure that you have all items required.

It is highly recommended that you have all of your required items saved and ready to upload before you begin this application.

Applicant Information

Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree or a trade/vocational school program. Graduate and advanced degree programs are not eligible.

Parent/Guardian Consent for Students

If you are age 17 or under, we must have permission from your parent/guardian for you to apply for the scholarship program.

Name/Photo/Essay Release

Scholarship recipients are announced on COPFCU social media channels, the COPFCU website, through email, etc. As a result, please complete the Name/Photo/Essay release form.

Proof of Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or Higher

Upload proof of your cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher for the most recent school term (whether high school, college or vocational/trade school). Transcripts are preferred.

Scholarship Questions

Question 1

Your community activities, school activities, volunteer activities and employment history.

Question 2

Describe a situation in which you faced a setback or failed at an important goal. How did you overcome the setback/failure? What lesson did you take from the experience?

Question 3

What are your career goals? As AI becomes more prevalent in our world, how do you anticipate AI changing your chosen career and the work you will do? What negative impacts could AI have on your career field and work?

In recent years the US has experienced increased inflation and escalating consumer prices on everything from groceries to vehicles to rent/housing costs. What financial strategies will you use to ensure you can pay for your life necessities (groceries, vehicle, rent, utilities, etc.) without taking on excessive debt? How can your credit union help you understand and manage your finances?
